THOC Building

The new Thoc building was completed in 2012 after a tendering procedure and the award of the design to Kythreotis Architects. It was constructed by Miltiadis Neophytou Ltd.

Opened on 28 October 2012 by the former president of the Republic of Cyprus, Demetris Christofias, the building has two performance spaces, the Main Stage Evis Gavriilidis Auditorium and the New Stage. The 397 seats in the Mian Stage auditorium are arranged on three levels, the stalls, and the first and second balcony. There are also eight wheelchair spaces.

At the end of the foyer, the smaller New Stage resembles an open workshop, with simple seating around the perimeter. It has a capacity of 156 seats on two levels, the stalls and the balcony.

The building also has rehearsal rooms, offices, a library and a shop. In addition, there are exhibition spaces and meeting rooms, making it a centre for a variety of theatrical activities and events.
